We offer a variety of treatment options including metal braces, ceramic braces, lingual braces, and clear aligner therapy. Depending on your treatment needs, different options may be available to you.
Metal braces – most of you are probably familiar with metal braces, as they are used commonly in orthodontic treatment. Today, the metal brackets that are bonded to the teeth are smaller, smoother, and designed to be more comfortable than ever before. Metal braces provide an efficient way to move teeth and help correct malocclusion.
Ceramic braces – similar to metal braces in function, ceramic braces provide a more esthetic option for orthodontic treatment. The brackets that are bonded to the teeth are tooth colored making the appliance less noticeable.
Lingual braces – this esthetic option, also known as hidden braces, will go unnoticed unless you reveal that you are undergoing orthodontic treatment. The brackets attach to the inner surfaces of your teeth, instead of the outer surfaces that are seen when you smile or speak.
Clear aligner therapy – unlike fixed appliances, clear aligner therapy, such as Invisalign®, is a method of treatment that does not involve bonded brackets. Orthodontic tooth movement is achieved using a series of clear aligners that fit over the teeth.
Each of these methods has advantages and disadvantages as a treatment modality. Schedule an appointment to discuss which of these options would be the best for you.
